DEATH WOLF launch first track of upcoming album

DEATH WOLF have just launched a first glimpse into “III: Östergötland”, the upcoming new studio album, which is scheduled to be released via Blooddawn Productions/Century Media Records in spring 2015. Check out the brand new track “Today King, Tomorrow Dead” here:

DEATH WOLF have moderately added some new elements to their deathly blackened punk rock widening the band’s musical horizon and guaranteeing some surprising twists and turns. The new track with its hard rocking main riff and ominous heaviness is a pretty fine example for DEATH WOLF’s new found variety. On “III: Östergötland” you will find the band’s by far most captivating and diverse material, ranging from the well-known Samhain-influenced punk rock to the post-apocalyptic crust of Amebix and Bathory/Celtic Frost-like blackness spiced up with a good dose of straight-forward metal.

The vinyl-only “Liksjöns Drickare” EP, that was released as a foretaste to the new album, can still be purchase at CM Distro:http://bit.ly/DeathWolfCMD

The full tracklist and the exact release date will be announced soon.

The wolf of death is on the prowl.

Madame Jojos

For the first time in a decade, SuicideGirls is bringing the sexiest, most fun show on the planet back to the UK! The SuicideGirls: Blackheart Burlesque is unlike any other burlesque act you’ve seen filled with pop culture references, high energy indie soundtrack and the sexiest choreographed strip teases to make your inner nerd explode with glee. The performance also includes legendary fire
performers Arabella and Katherine Suicide and super star DJ Mel Clarke. The show is heading to London for a 4 day run at legendary Soho Burlesque house Madame JoJo’s January 8th – 11th. Tickets are on sale now at BlackheartBurlesque.com

SuicideGirls: Blackheart Burlesque have been wowing audiences all over the world with their performances, complete with tongue-in-cheek humor and raw erotic sexuality. The show features stunning choreography from famous choreographer, Manwe Sauls-Addison, who has worked with
world celebrity performers such as Beyonce, J ennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga. He has assembled a team of the sexiest, most talented SuicideGirls to create the ultimate provocative tribute to pop-culture that Burlesque has ever seen. With striptease performances in tribute to Star Wars, Orange
Is the New Black, Donnie Darko, Clockwork Orange and more, this show will have you on the edge of your seat!

The SuicideGirls are continuing their seductive worldwide rule. In the early 2000′s the SuicideGirls Burlesque show crisscrossed North America for 5 years. The girls entertained thousands of people at sold-out shows, opening for Guns ‘n’ Roses and Courtney Love and went overseas to perform
at music festivals in both Europe and Australia. In the fall of 2013, the girls decided it was time to put the show on the road again. They spent six weeks playing sold out shows across the United States. It was so much fun that they decided to take it world wide again! In the spring of 2014, the girls took on Australia and Canada to perform additional sold out shows. They’re touring the US this fall before they take the action packed performance back to London!

Wovenwar Interview with Shane

Thanks for doing the interview, I hope everyone’s well?
Hey this is Shane!

1. How does it feel playing back in a tiny venue like the Barfly?

Well, I'm used to playing small venues like barfly. I actually enjoy it a little more than huge stages, it's more intimate with the crowd. Barfly was insane. The crowd was amazing. I still can't believe it.

2. You have gained some very positive messages after the unfortunate collapse of As I Lay Dying, did these spur you on to create Wovenwar?

I think the guys just had to push on because writing music is all they knew to do..... I'm very lucky to have been the guy they asked to sing for them. I'm really stoked on all the positive feedback so far, it's unreal.

3. How did the writing and recording process go for the new album?

It was very organic. We didn't have a particular sound in mind, we just wrote what came natural. Recording was a blast. Bill is a character and absolutely insane haha. My experience was basically hanging with him and josh and singing 8 hours a day.

4. The vibe feels more in the vain of classic rock compared to As I Lay Dying, was this a conscious thing going forward or just happened naturally?

See previous questions answer haha

5. How did you come across Shane for vocals?

I'm Shane lol. Basically nick brought me up as a singer to the guys and showed them some stuff I've done... They hit me up while I was in warped tour with Oh sleeper and sent me some tracks they'd written. After warped I flew out and the rest is history

6. How did you come up with the new name and what are the lyrical inspirations behind the new record?

Everyone is born a blank slate. As u grow ideas are threaded into u... It's a struggle to weed out the negative things your environment can "weave" into u.

7. How was the recent tour with BLS and Kyng? Any amusing stories from your time on the road?

It was insane!! Kyng and BLS were all so cool. Me and Eddie from kyng did a duet cover of "hunger strike" out in an alley behind a venue one night. It was sweet. Zakk was rad, he made it a point to come in our dressing room and shoot the shit daily. All their crew was so cool too.

8. What do you guys like to do when you’re on the road to chill out and relax?

We use Alcohol.

9. Are you looking forward to the upcoming tour with In Flames, and what else can we look forward to for the rest of 2014 and beyond?

I haven't met In Flames yet but all my guys are good friends with them. Them giving us this tour is just unreal to me, they confirmed the tour by hearing one demo of "All Rise" ... We are just so thankful to them for this opportunity. We have some plans for early next year but can't really say much yet.

10. Finally, did you guys watch the Soccer (Football) World Cup and if not why not?

No. Americans don't care about soccer. Hahaha

Cheers for the interview guys

REVOCATION Post Second Video From The Making of 'Deathless'

Metal Blade Records Debut Out October 13th

REVOCATION have spent the last eight years converting fans to their cause with four full length albums, an EP with Scion AV, and a charismatic live show led by guitarist/vocalist Dave Davidson. The Boston-based band also features the staggeringly talented lineup of: Dan Gargiulo on guitar, Brett Bamberger on bass, and Phil Dubois on drums. REVOCATION has firmly been established as one of the genre's finest and will continue their campaign as part of the Metal Blade Records roster. Their fifth album, "Deathless," is a fitting debut for the label, and a definitive statement of intent from the band. The artwork for "Deathless" was hand painted by internationally recognized tattoo artist Tom Strom.

"Deathless" is set for an October 14th release, today the artwork, track listing and first single which is the title track, have been unveiled. The album will be available in CD, 2LP and digital formats. Get a first listen to the song HERE and be sure to pre-order the album.

During the recording process, the band shot a series of videos documenting their work on "Deathless". Today the band has posted the second video in the series. Check it out HERE. The first video in the series can be viewed HERE.

The second song from "Deathless" entitled "Madness Opus" can be streamed HERE.

"Deathless" was recorded with acclaimed producer Zeuss at Planet Z studios in Massachusetts. The album is ten tracks of ambitious, catchy, and undeniably heavy material. Musically, cuts like "Madness Opus" showcase a more deliberate REVOCATION - restrained, if even moderately so, to deliver a slow, near-dirge like track. Alternatively, the title track highlights the diversity of Davidson's vocals with a catchy chorus. It's an earworm the likes of which the band had only previously hinted. The rest of the album offers a refreshing variety of music and truly feels like an "album", rather than a collection of similar tracks. This is a refinement, achieved only through years of focusing on their craft.

Lyrically, "Deathless" addresses life on the road and the band's commitment to touring, followed by even more touring. "Madness Opus" made its live debut when REVOCATION toured with DevilDriver and Whitechapel during the summer of 2014. Davidson discusses the track: "The crowd response for that tune has been overwhelmingly positive. It's one of the heaviest songs we've ever written, hands down, and has been a blast to play live. Lyrically, it's about one of my favorite HP Lovecraft stories, "The Music Of Erich Zann". Fans of unnamable cosmic horror and punishing death metal will not be disappointed!"

Revocation are touring in support of "Deathless" now with Crowbar in North America, followed by a full European tour with new label mates Cannibal Corpse and Aeon. The tour stops tonight in Englewood, Colorado and is set to run through October 10th in Houston, TX.

Due to an arm injury, Phil Dubious will unfortunately not be able to perform live with Revocation this fall. Jon "Charn" Rice of Scorpion Child, formerly of Job for a Cowboy will be filling in on the band's shows with Crowbar, and Ash Pearson of 3 Inches of Blood will be filling in on the band's European dates with Cannibal Corpse.

Elsewhere, the record debuted at #21 on the UK Rock/Metal charts, #39 on the UK Independent Albums charts, #28 in Austria and #50 in Switzerland.

In related A Skeletal Domain news, today Cannibal Corpse is pleased to unveil the official new video for third cut of depravity, "Kill Or Become." Shot at Kelly's Hideaway in Seffner, Florida and directed by critically-lauded videographer David Brodsky of MyGoodEye (Goatwhore, Hell Yeah, Whitechapel, Municipal Waste et al), the zombie-strewn, nightmarishly awesome clip fluctuates from color and black and white and offers up a delicious visual inundation of blood, guts and gastric fluids. Check it out at http://www.metalblade.com/cannibalcorpse. And don't forget your chainsaw!

A Skeletal Domain is out NOW via Metal Blade Records. Order yours today at THIS LOCATION and don't forget to check out the band's newly launched website at http://www.cannibalcorpse.net!

"'Vector Of Cruelty' is a masterful combination of coruscating mid-pace burl and quirky thrash, 'The Murderer's Pact' pushes boundaries in the fields of lead work and atonality, while 'Kill Or Become' has a sizzling, infectious quality and the potential to be a set closer should they ever quit it with 'Hammer Smashed Face.'… the point is, there's material on lucky number thirteen that stands up to the classics." - Decibel

"A Skeletal Domain proves why Cannibal Corpse are still such an integral part of the metal world." - Loudwire

"…an absolute must have for any lover of anything brutal…" - Metal Injection

"…one of Cannibal Corpse's most absorbing records in years." - The Guardian

"Cannibal Corpse have pushed the technicality of their songs without forgetting the brutality or speed that fans have come to expect…with A Skeletal Domain there is even more of a reason for people to give Cannibal Corpse a listen." - Sputnik Music

"…it's impressive that a group approaching its third decade can still bring the noise… and songs like the muscular title cut, the frenetic 'Icepick Lobotomy,' and the lurching and doomy 'Kill Or Become' deliver their dark wares with the subtlety of a morning star to the head." - All Music

"[Cannibal Corpse] fucking rule their fucking roost with talons of fucking steel." - MetalSucks

BLACK CROWN INITIATE announce debut LP details, stream new song

Fast-rising progressive death metal sensations BLACK CROWN INITIATE are set to release their debut LP, The Wreckage of Stars, across UK/EU territories on October 27th via eOne Music / Good Fight Music.

As a teaser of what's to come, the band are now streaming a new song from the album.

Every once in a while there comes along an album either so brutal it blasts your face off, or so delicious it delights and tickles the ears. Even rarer is an album that manages to seamlessly combine the two, melding gorgeous musicianship with awe-inspiring power. Most bands might achieve this once or twice in their career; so for a band to achieve this on the debut is an impressive feat, and one which demands to be noticed.

The Wreckage of Stars, the first LP US prog metal stars Black Crown Initiate is such a debut. Perhaps the strongest new album from the strongest new outfit you shall hear all year, The Wreckage of Stars is the next step in the whirlwind musical journey of the Pennsylvanian band in their short 2-year history.

Following on from the critically acclaimed underground success of the band’s debut four-track concept EP Song of the Crippled Bull, the band secured a coveted spot on the renowned Metal Alliance Tour alongside the legendary Goatwhore and Behemoth. Since then, Black Crown Initiate have gone on to tour with Septicflesh, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Rivers of Nihil, all the while honing their musical blueprint.

The Wreckage of Stars is at times devastatingly heavy, combining thunderous percussion with nightmarishly fast and fierce guitarwork and black-metal inspired vocals. Look further and you’ll hear moments of brilliance and beauty, from the stunning bass solo on the album’s opener (Great Mistake) to the Opeth-reminiscent opening and clean vocals of Malignant.

Highly recommended for any fans of progressive metal, The Wreckage of Stars is set to be the album to launch Black Crown Initiate towards stardom - a just reward for one of metal’s hardest working and fastest-rising bands.

The Wreckage of Stars track-listing:
1. Great Mistake
2. The Fractured One
3. Malignant
4. The Human Lie Manifest
5. Withering Waves
6. To The Eye That Leads You
7. The Wreckage of Stars
8. Shapes Collapse

Formed in 2010 in Queensland’s Brisbane, the same sunny stretch of Australian coastline as PORTAL and THE AMITY AFFLICTION, AVERSIONS CROWNdeveloped their pummeling blend of mechanized brutality and haunting atmospherics by utilizing three guitarists brandishing 8-string guitars. Appearing live as a wall of muscle, guitars and flailing hair, the band have logged serious road miles across Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom with acts like THY ART IS MURDER,THE ACACIA STRAIN, OCEANO, ALL SHALL PERISH, CATTLE DECAPITATIONand appearances at Warped Tour.

The late 2014 impact of Tyrant will follow the viral success of the album’s first video “Hollow Planet.” Originally self-released as a stand-alone single, the video’s crushing bombast and sinister visuals have helped it rack up almost half a million views to date. Job for a Cowboy to Release "Sun Eater" November 10th

New song "Sun of Nihility" streaming now

Job for a Cowboy have wrapped up music and art on their fourth full length album, "Sun Eater." Along with producer Jason Suecof, vocalist Jonny Davy, guitarists Al Glassman and Tony Sannicandro, bassist Nick Schendzielos, and session drummer Danny Walker have crafted a cerebral and accomplished piece of technical death metal. Job for a Cowboywrapped up touring in 2013 as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival that summer. Following that performance, the band collectively decided to sharpen their focus and set an intent on cooking up a record that encompassed their full dynamic range of talent. The group had all agreed on the main course being a desire for futuristic tones, a wider spectrum of textures and tempos, and an emphasis on slightly more ancestral song construction. The result, "Sun Eater," does not just sound like a new record, it sounds like an entirely new band.

Listen to "Sun of Nihility" and pre-order the album now at metalblade.com/jobforacowboy.

Following the departure of long time skins-man Jon Rice, Job for a Cowboy, cognizant of the size of shoes that needed to be filled, in addition to the depth and versatility demanded by the new material, enlisted the services of Danny Walker (Intronaut, Murder Construct, Exhumed, etc). Walker's mastery of his craft, coupled with his creativity and enthusiasm for the material, strongly influenced the outcome of the record, and it only takes a few minutes of listening to hear this isJob for a Cowboy at their finest.

Regarding composition, guitarist Tony Sannicandro recalled: "This album came together very smoothly. We had the concept before hand and I took it upon myself to try and portray that concept through the music. I took a much more melodic approach than "Demonocracy": focusing on the structuring and the layering that would complement the story to my ears." The other half of the guitar duo, Al Glassman, continued to be a driving force behind the band's sound. Bassist Nick Schendzielos added that "Al riffs long and hard for greater the good of everyone involved. He really used a lot of foresight in his revisions during the writing process, creating ample room for me to mood-out the tracks with bass that you can actually hear. in the end I think we really brought the character out in each and every song." Indeed, composition and songwriting was the focus here. With this new album, the band had the luxury of relative longevity in the core of their songwriting lineup. This led to a far stronger vibe and a much more realized final product.

Audiohammer producer Jason Suecof, whose first bout with the band was 2009's "Ruination," has now worked with the band for over six years. Few are more familiar with how Job for a Cowboyoperates in the studio than Suecof, and he was also feeling the "vibe" on "Sun Eater": "This band is composed entirely of top notch musicians all the way around and they are clearly at the top of their game. This new album is a stellar combination of everyone's efforts and what we have now is something that conveys everyone's musicianship without being techy for the sake of being tech. This album has got feeling and it is fucking brutal!"

Sun Eater will be available via Metal Blade Records on November 10th in the UK

Electric Mary - Mini Album "The Last Great Hope" Out On 3rd November and UK Tour

Australian five piece Electric Mary are back to spread Rock 'n’ Roll's genuine flavour to Europe, releasing a brand new mini album "The Last Great Hope" on 3rd November 2014. The band support the release with European dates including a full UK tour and festival performance through November 2014.

It'd been two years since the Mary's last European gig when they received the phone call from states. Rusty had just finished a week in the studio with the legendary engineer Mike Tholen and now it was time for the band to pick up their instruments and do another ELECTRIC MARY recording. They weren't looking for an album, they just wanted to get back in the studio and smash out some tunes ... and smash them out they did. With drummer Davey Porter at the helm it was all about a new swagger for the band and they responded accordingly. The five track "The Last Great Hope" .. captures a small moment in time...a time when rock'n'roll was all that mattered. Driving riffs and attitude course through the body of the mini album – from the slide guitar of opener “Sweet May”, through to the pulsing riffs of “So Cruel” and first single “Nicotine”, from the punk vibe of “Welcome To The Otherside” to the slow heavy groove of “Already Gone”.

Now they are bringing that time back to the UK, Spain & France

This is Rock"n"Roll the way it used to taste!

CARCASS released ‘Surgical Steel’ last September via Nuclear Blast and even with their impressive back catalogue, ‘Surgical Steel’ has given the band their highest charting and possibly most critically acclaimed record to date.

CARCASS has released several classic albums over the years, including Decibel Magazine “Hall of Fame” inductees ‘Heartwork’ and ‘Necroticism – Descanting the Insalubrious’, and their influence has changed the face of extreme metal with every consecutive release. Whether it was inventing gore-grind (i.e. ‘Reek of Putrefaction’, ‘Symphonies of Sickness) or creating the template for melodic death metal (i.e. ‘Heartwork’), CARCASS has always made records by which bars were set and rules were broken. Upon the band’s dismantling in 1996, fans mourned the loss of the seminal act and longed that the group would return again one day. In 2007, the metal world got its wish as CARCASS reformed to play several sold-out reunion shows around the globe. Once again re-motivated to administer a shot of cynicism and infectious riffs into the arm of a sickly metal scene, founding members Bill Steer and Jeff Walker began writing what would become the latest output of their highly influential career, ‘Surgical Steel’. Only the choicest of cuts were made, and blood sweat and tears were shed to bring us a record worthy of the CARCASS legacy. In short, ‘Surgical Steel’ is just what the doctor ordered.

SOULBURN Announce new album “The Suffocating Darkness"

Originally, SOULBURN emerged after the demise of Dutch death metal legend Asphyx in the mid 90’s, when founding members Eric Daniels (guitars) and Bob Bagchus (drums) looked for a seperate outlet to unleash their mutual obsession with Bathory, Venom, Celtic Frost and unite it with a dark, doomy and primal death metallic twist. After a demo and the cult “Feeding On Angels” debut album via Century Media Records in 1998, which featured Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle) on vocals/bass, SOULBURN were put to rest and seemed to be a mere transitional act before Asphyx achieved a short-lived return for “On The Wings Of Inferno” (2000) with the same line-up.

SOULBURN was dead, buried, but not forgotten...

And now, 16 years after their debut album, the blackened Death Metal merchants return to the surface by signing a new worldwide recording agreement with Century Media Records in their new line-up shape that again features the core of Eric Daniels (guitars) and Bob Bagchus (drums), teaming up with Twan van Geel (Flesh Made Sin, Legion Of The Damned) as vocalist/bassist and Remco Kreft (Grand Supreme Blood Court, Nailgun Massacre, Xenomorph) as second guitarist.

SOULBURN’s drummer and founder Bob Bagchus checked in with the following comment about their return: “Bringing SOULBURN back to life was a natural thing to do since the inspiration was huge, more than ever before. Playing the old songs as well as the new incantations is a blessing. The riffs and thus the songs kept coming and coming and we knew we were on the right track. The new deal with our longtime label Century Media Records was the next logical step…”

SOULBURN’s sophomore album, “The Suffocating Darkness”, will be released on November 17th, 2014 via Century Media Records. The album was recorded with Harry Wijering (Harrow Productions), mix/mastering duties were taken over by Dan Swanö (Unisound Recordings) and the artwork was designed by Timo Ketola as well as Roberto Toderico.

SOULBURN will also be debuting on stages in their new incarnation as of this very weekend, when they perform at three special and long sold-old shows together with old school Death Metal comrades Bolt Thrower and Morgoth in Germany. A next appearance at 2015’s edition of Neurotic Deathfest has been already announced as well.

SOULBURN live + Bolt Thrower & Morgoth:
21.09.2014 Bremen (Germany) - Schlachthof * Sold out!
22.09.2014 Essen (Germany) - Weststadthalle * Sold out!

SOULBURN live 2015:
